SEIU Members at Univesity of Wisconsin Hospital Ratify Substantial Wage Increases in Contract Wage Reopener!

 After agressive internal activities, including worksite actions and mass emails to the CEO, SEIU Nurses and Health Care Professionals and University of Wisconsin Hospital and Clinics have agreed to:

• Implement a new wage grid for Nurses, Physical Therapists and Occupational Therapists which results in a minimum 8% wage increase for nurses and a minimum 5.5% wage increase for PTs and OTs.  For a wage grid placement, a majority of nurses and PTs/OTs receive more than the minimum wage increase based on their seniority and professional years of experience.

• An 8% wage increase for Per Diem Nurses (casuals).

• A 6% wage increase for Dieticians and Recreational Therapists.

•Expanded weekend differential hours to provide members with pay differential for Friday night work.
